Mamsan is a restaurant located in the versatile Liverpool One. Envisaged as a natural light-filled atrium with a canopy of foliage, the design was influenced by the vibrant colours and textures of South East Asia.
The scheme uses a simple palette of materials, a striking custom mono chromatic geometric floor, teak joinery, exposed concrete and various designs by native textile designers Timorous Beasties.
The venue at Liverpool One presented us with super high ceilings and a raw industrial backdrop, a perfect blank canvas for us to build upon.
Our brief was to create a pared-back, semi-industrial scheme with a refined and elevated touch of glamour. We introduced a striking brass vertcial staircase, linking all three levels together. Within the new three story high void, we hung a custom Buster and Punch pendant light, which can be viewed from all aspects within the venue.
