Nonya is one of Glasgow's newest hospitality offerings, located in the Finnieston suburb of Glasgow, on the bustling stretch of Glasgow's Argyle Street
Situated on the form site of the Scullery on Glasgow Argyle Street.
The client wanted to put the exciting new all-day eatery on the map and so we designed a warm, inviting and textured environment with a boho charm, inspired by our travels in Asia.
Accommodating takeaway, dine-in, large groups and a more intimate cocktail bar, Baba, Nonya offers openness for the sense of Glaswegian charm, community as well as cosier areas for solace.
The interior layers textures and earthy tones to create an elegant and calming space that reflects the ethos of Peranakan/Nonya (aunty) cooking, which mixes flavours from across Asia.
19th-century French vibes, with Peranakan influences to create a simple and honest interior, in-line with the quality of food & drink.
Timber and rattan have warmth with dark emerald green marbles inspired by Asian rainforests. We great respect for tradition and a keen eye on the future, our concept for Nonya unites these, creating an endearing environment.
