Scarinish Design Studio was founded in 2013 by Ross McNally in response to the growing demand for his distinctive design aesthetic and clever use of material details in both architectural and interior design contexts.
Our team’s work is distinguished by fastidious attention to detail and the conceptual vision of every project, arriving at design solutions which are as coherent as they are charming.
Design is our means of expression, integrity and energy and with a high dose of the adventurous, it defines who we are.
Ross is as passionate about the Great Outdoors as much as he is the Great Indoors. He’s a keen cyclist, runner, swimmer, climber… but what surpasses those passions are the ever-lasting and engaging brand home environments he carefully crafts and creates. A Glasgow School of Art graduate (First Class Honours in interior design, and a Bachelor of Architecture), he worked at several design agencies, while winning a few awards along the way. But his greatest passion of all? Founding Scarinish Studio in 2013.
Lindsay is involved in managing all aspects of Scarinish Studio. She may modestly admit to being less mandatory at the initial ‘design’ stage, but her colleagues beg to differ. Having entered the architectural design world through a key role in a prestigious events company, following a successful business and marketing degree from UWS, she’s indispensable in the eyes of Scarinish. Lindsay loves her early nights – but then, with two sports-mad boys and all the daily demands of studio-life, who wouldn’t?
Keeping our clients enthused throughout every step of their project, is Simon Cameron. An honours graduate in interior design from the Glasgow School of Art, he’s also a steadfast company associate, working alongside Ross. With over 15 years commercial industry experience, an impressive portfolio, and an inherent skill for creating impactful, exciting concepts (especially in the hospitality/leisure sector), Simon is a vital cog in the Scarinish wheel. His endless inspiration and enthusiasm in the studio is infectious.
It was upon Italian-born Simona’s arrival in Scotland that her passion for the great indoors really began. Her master’s degree in interior design, at the Glasgow School of Art, focussed on how heritage is expressed and preserved in interior spaces. While studying for her degree, Simona was given the opportunity to intern across Scotland and Europe, learning about traditional crafts, ecological building, natural materials and heritage-driven sustainable design. Her journey continues at Scarinish Studio.
From initial concepts through to the meticulously detailed end result, Peter is our solid all-rounder — and our go-to for all things statutory and technical. With a background in interior architecture (Honours) and over 15 years of industry experience, he combines creative thinking with precision execution. Whether developing existing buildings, crafting modern interventions, or refurbishing historic structures, Peter’s passion lies in translating ideas into tangible form. A true technical wizard, his expertise in rendered design, CAD visualisation, and statuary applications ensures every Scarinish concept is realised with clarity, craft and confidence.
Estonian-born Pille, is known for her creative, inquisitive flair for problem solving. She moved to Ireland in 2005 to study and work at three design studios. Returning to Estonia in 2020, Pille, set up his own freelance interior design studio, ‘Heps’. With years of experience across myriad of design disciplines – she boasts a track record in bringing innovative solutions to projects across both domestic and commercial sectors. Still based in Estonia, Scarinish Studio is Pille’s remote home from home.
We are always interested in hearing from designers of all levels to join our brilliant team, who are busy working with our existing clients and some exciting new ones.
