Working closely with the client team, we developed an interior that feels both elevated and approachable. Softly lit spaces, tactile finishes and a variety of seating arrangements create a layered dining experience that unfolds naturally throughout the restaurant. The result is a setting that feels intimate yet lively, designed to encourage guests to linger over exceptional food and wine.
The exterior establishes a quiet confidence. A soft cream façade and hand-painted signage offer a restrained presence during the day, while warm amber light glows through mustard-toned windows after dark, revealing glimpses of the atmosphere within.
Inside, gently distressed limewashed walls and ceilings introduce texture and depth, lending the interiors a timeless quality that evolves beautifully from day into evening. A narrow transition space lined with floor-to-ceiling linen curtains creates a deliberate sense of arrival, drawing guests towards framed views of the open kitchen and the theatre of service beyond.
At the heart of the restaurant, a glass-fronted dry-ageing cabinet showcases the exceptional produce central to the menu, providing an immediate expression of craftsmanship and quality. Elsewhere, carefully considered details contribute to the restaurant’s distinctive character, including what may well be the world’s smallest wine bar. Clad in rich red travertine and framed by a softly gathered curtain and vintage bistro pendants, it provides a memorable focal point within the scheme.
Entrusted with complete creative freedom, our aim was to create a restaurant with genuine soul — a space that feels effortlessly elegant, deeply welcoming and entirely its own. Since opening, Vinette has been warmly received by both guests and critics alike, earning recognition within the Michelin Guide just months after opening.
